An Egyptian writer, who is considered one of the most important children’s writers in Egypt. She received many awards and honors for her work in the field of writing for children, including the UNESCO International Award for Tolerance in Children’s Books in 2002, then the International IBBY Award for Outstanding Children’s Books in the Field of the Challenge of Disability for the book "The Box" in 2004, and the first Suzanne Mubarak Award in Children’s Literature twice. Some of her credits include Bakkar and Sesame World.
