An American television actress, born in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on November 2, 1942. Stefanie Powers received several awards and honors, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1992. Her most important works include The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. (1966-1967), Herbie Rides Again (1974), and Hart to Hart (1979-1984). Powers was born to a Jewish cinematographer father and a Catholic mother of Polish descent. She studied ballet and graduated from Hollywood High School. After starting her film career, she disappeared for 5 years and then reappeared focusing on television work. Stefanie is an international spokesperson for wildlife conservation, and works with the Cincinnati Zoo and Zoo Atlanta, in addition to her interest and support for many other charitable causes, and activism in women's rights.
