An American musician, singer, and actor, born on June 14, 1895, in Hannibal, Missouri, USA. Cliff Edwards left school when he was 14 and soon moved to St. Louis. He, later on, became one of the most popular singers of the 1920s. He appeared on several Broadway shows and made his first phonograph records in 1919. Edwards contracted with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and he appeared in the company's early sound movies. He made his movie debut in 1929 and is known for His Girl Friday (1940), Fun & Fancy Free (1947), The Iron Giant (1999), and Killing Them Softly (2012). He died on July 17, 1971, in Hollywood, California, USA.
