British actor born in Ferndale, Rwanda Valley, Wales, United Kingdom on February 28, 1928. Stanley got married to the actress Ellen Martin (1950-1976), he had 4 children with her, and remained with her until his death. His features and physical strength were an obstacle between him and the performance of romantic roles, which he became famous for in the forties and fifties. In the early sixties, he established his production company and presented successful films. He used his fame to work in the early seventies on television. He died of lung cancer and pneumonia on June 28, 1976 in Malaga, Andalusia, Spain.
