Dutch writer, born on March 30, 1965, in Beverwijk, North Holland, Netherlands. He studied history and English in Amsterdam and made his theatrical writing debut in 1995. He is known for Corn Island (2014), Pomegranate Orchard (2017), and A Corner of Heaven (2014).
