An English actor born on December 17, 1885 in Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom. He began his artistic career on stage in 1905 and appeared in films in 1911.He moved to Hollywood in 1940 and played the role of a servant. He is known for the 1947 movie The Mighty McGurk, the 1945 The House of Fear, Ball of Fire (1941), and South of Algiers (1952). He died on January 16, 1958 in London, England.
