An American actress, who was born on January 18, 1931, in Patterson, New Jersey. Her family moved to California in 1936, where she got a small role in The First Baby (1936). She became an excellent singer and dance school dancer in Hollywood. Between 1937 and 1940, she appeared in supporting roles in several films including Two Sisters (1938), The Barricade (1939), and The Primrose Path (1940). She co-starred in Meet Me in St. Louis (1944), and The Bells of St. Mary's (1945). She died 16 November 2016 near her home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, aged 85.
