An American actor, born in Germany, who previously held the citizenship of the Weimar Republic, which was the republic that arose in Germany from 1919 to 1933 in the wake of World War I and the loss of Germany. John moved to the United States, where he worked for a food products company. After graduating from Newton High School, he joined the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York State. He also participated in many artistic works, including Bad Day at Black Rock (1955) and Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971).
