An American actor and writer, born on May 16, 1950, in Syracuse, New York. His works include I Was a Sixth Grade Alien (1999-2000), Aliens Stole My Body (2020), and Duffy's Jacket (2017). He married Katherine (née Dietz). He is the co-founder of Full Cast Audio, which is an audiobook company dedicated to recording complete, unabridged copies of young adult fiction. In 2012, Bruce Coville was the 23rd recipient of the "Empire State Award for Excellence in Literature for Young People," which is given by the New York Library Association.
