An American actor, born in Houston on December 11, 1912. He got married twice and had two children. He is an actor, writer, and producer who excelled in Western films during the 1940s. But his arrogance, combative nature, and selfishness alienated the casts from collaborating with him. By 1950 his career began to deteriorate. That forced him to work in small studios, and he continued to work in Western films until the seventies, but in small roles. Among his most important works: Adventures of Red Ryder (1940), Square Dance Jubilee (1949), One Man's Law (1940) and Jesse James Women (1954).
