An American actor, born in Washington Heights, New York, on February 6, 1921. David Gorcey married Dorothea Gorcey and they had a child before they divorced. Among his notable film roles: That Gang of Mine (1940), Bowery Blitzkrieg (1941) and Mr. Wise Guy (1942). He's known for playing "Pee Wee" in East Side Kids film series, and "Chuck" in The Bowery Boys series. He retired from the business and later in life became a Catholic priest, helping alcoholics and drug addicts recover from addiction. He died in 1984 of diabetes at age 63.
