A Moroccan film director, born in the city of Salé in 1960. He studied English literature at Mohammed V University in Rabat. His artistic beginnings were in music before deciding to change his profession to cinema. He participated as an actor in minor roles in a group of films, then went on to work as an assistant to a group of international directors, such as Ridley Scott and Oliver Stone. In 2010, he co-wrote and directed his first movie The Passion of Gunpowder. Among his works are the series Hadidan and the Daughter of El Harraz.
