An Iraqi writer and media personality, born in Basra, Iraq. She began her literary career during her university studies, supervising the editing of a magazine in her college. She began writing novels during her university studies as well. Among her most prominent novels is "The Lapis Lazuli Evening". She wrote several cultural articles for the Iraqi newspaper Al Sabaah and the Lebanese newspaper Al-Hayat. She presented programs on the Al Iraqiya Satellite Channel and the Iraqi Media Network Radio. She also worked as the editorial secretary of the Kufa International Academic Journal.
