An English-Lithuanian actor, director, and writer, born in Goniškis, Lithuania, as Zvi Mosheh Skikne. He debuted in House of Darkness (1948). He participated in almost 64 works, most notably The Manchurian Candidate (1962), Room at the Top (1958), The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm (1962), and Cairo Road (1950). He was nominated for an Academy Award in 1960 for the movie Room at the Top and a BAFTA Award twice for the same movie in 1959 and for the movie Expresso Bongo in 1960. He died on November 25, 1973, in London, England, United Kingdom, of stomach cancer.
