He was born during the Spanish Civil War, and his father owned a successful fur shop, and he grew up in a very comfortable surroundings in a country mansion. He studied to become an architect, and after college he started lifting weights, but soon he was attracted to acting and filmmaking, and was influenced by horror films. Among his most important works are: Night of the Were Wolf (1981), Night of the Howling Beast (1975), and Howl of the Devil (1988). He died in Madrid, on November 30, 2009 of pancreatic cancer.
