A German actress, born in Stuttgart, Germany. After completing high school in Stuttgart, she moved to New York State, where she studied acting at Lee Strasberg's Actors Studio. Then, she returned to begin her theatrical career in Hamburg, Germany and performed many artistic performances, where she won a German television award, the Deutscher Fernsehpreis, for best leading actress. She served on the award’s jury in 2001 and 2002. She has also been a goodwill ambassador for the German charity Kindernothilfe since 2006.
