An English actress and model, born to a British father and a Portuguese-Jamaican mother in Port Antonio, Jamaica as Mary Beswick. She married actor John Richardson (1967-1973) and their marriage ended in divorce without children. Among her notable works are Thunderball (1965), From Russia with Love (1963) and A Bullet for the General (1967). She was Miss Jamaica. She moved with her mother and brother to London in 1954 after her parents separated. In 1955, she left high school to support her family. She worked as a model at first, and entered several beauty contests. After working in Hollywood in the late 1960s, she focused on television, and then retired from films after appearing in Night of the Scarecrow (1995). She then participated in commentary mainly in documentaries. She owned a furniture moving company in London, which she devoted herself to managing, but returned after 24 years to appear in the 2018 film House of the Gorgon.
