A British actor born in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, UK. He made his onscreen debut on Garrison Follies (1940). His notable works include Mary Poppins (1964), The Love Bug (1968), Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971), and The Fiendish Plat of Dr. Fu Manchu (1980), which was his last film appearance. He married twice and had four children. He died of a stroke on 24 June 2000 in Westminster, London, England, UK.
