An American actor, born in Mammoth, Utah, USA, on August 13, 1909. Tristram Coffin married Dorothy, and after their separation, he married Vera, who stayed with him until his death. The most important works of Tristram Coffin include King of the Rocket Men (1949), The Corpse Vanishes (1942), and The Crawling Hand (1963). He was a prolific actor who worked in film and television. He began acting in high school and continued to act with traveling stock companies. After obtaining a degree in speech from the University of Washington, he worked as a news analyst and sportscaster until he was discovered to work in films. He passed away at the age of 80 in Santa Monica, California, USA, on March 26, 1990, of lung cancer.
