She began her career from 1900 till the 1940s. She had a theatrical career in Britain, Australia, and America, before moving to Hollywood to participate in motion pictures. She became a member of the Screen Actors Guild in late 1935. She is known for The Little Princess (1939), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939), and Kind Lady (1935). She died on September 26, 1961, in South Pasadena, California, USA
