British actress, born on April 17, 1959 in London. She was trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She made her debut on stage from 1981. In later years she taught at the Actor's Center in London. Among her famous works are Prince of Thieves (1991), The Phantom of the Opera (2004) and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging (2008). She died on July 5, 2014 in London, of pneumonia.
