A Swiss actor, director, and writer born on June 4, 1910 in Basel, Switzerland. He got trained in drawing at an early stage of his life, before turning to cinema. His works include Farinet ou l'or dans la montagne, Ein Mann geht auf Reisen, Menschen, die vorüberziehen, and The Trial. He died on June 25, 1965 in Zurich, Switzerland.
