A British actor born in Simla, British India on 9 September, 1917. He is a British actor in theatre, film and television. He was educated at Bradfield College in Berkshire, England. He is the stepson of the star Laurence Olivier, who gave him the opportunity in the play Hamlet. He performed mostly rural roles and petty criminals. His most important works: Billy Budd (1962), The Naked Lady (1959), A Man for All Seasons (1966), and A Night to Remember (1958). He died in 1986 at the age of 68.
