American actress, singer, and dancer, born on January 25, 1991, in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Her mother, Gina DeBose, is an eighth-grade teacher. She practiced dancing at the CC & Co Dance Complex in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father is of Afro-Puerto Rican descent, and her mother has French, English, and Scottish ancestry. She is known for Hamilton (2020), and The Prom (2020). She earned numerous accolades for playing Anita in West Side Story (2021), including an Oscar and a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress.
