A Mexican actor, born on June 12, 1916 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. He's also known as José Chávez Trowe 'Chang'. He started his career in the mid-forties. He married María del Carmen Benitez. Among his notable works are Romancing the Stone, The Wild Bunch, Guns for San Sebastian, and Two Mules for Sister Sara. He died on July 12, 1988 in Mexico City, Mexico.
