An American actor born in Sandusky, Ohio, US. He was a silent film actor, who he appeared in supporting roles, and when talkies emerged he began acting more. He worked a lot from the 1930s through the 1950s. His debut was on Big Town Ideas (1921). His other notable works include The Turmoil (1924) and The Idle Rich (1929). His last appearance was on Never a Dull Moment (1968). He married actress Pauline Paquette from 1926 until her death in 1955. He died on 26 November 1972 in Los Angeles, California.
