She was a Scottish actress, born on March 17, 1910, in Glasgow, Scotland, as Mary Weir. In her early professional career, she was a well-known radio actress, appearing in many comedy shows. Her greatest theatrical success came with The Happiest Days of Your Life. Weir appeared in various TV and film productions. Her screen debut was in 1946. She is known for Life with the Lyons (1955-1960), Suspense (1962-1963), and The Lyons in Paris (1955). She passed away on November 28, 2004 in Pinner, Middlesex, England.
