A German actor and writer, born on November 30, 1956, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He attended classes at the Lee Strasberg Actors Studio in New York. He was previously married to Sabine von Maydell. He is Oona von Maydell's father. He is known for The Boat (1981), The World Is Not Enough (1999), and Rote Erde (1983-1990).
