An American actor, born in Vinson, Oklahoma, USA, as Rufus Davidson. He had two wives and four children. His works include Outlaws of the Cherokee Trail (1941), West of Cimarron (1941), and Code of the Outlaw (1942). Rough Davis is also a singer, and he has presented many songs and has appeared in cinema and television. Rufe left school and worked in vaudeville shows, imitating voices, then moved to many theaters and nightclubs. In the thirties, he moved to radio work, and his first cinematic appearance was in 1936. He worked with the Paramount Republic and had a long and varied career in the field of show films. He died in Torrance, California, USA, on December 13, 1974.
