She was an American actress, born on September 16, 1921, in Newark, New Jersey, USA. She became a John Robert Powers model when she was 17. In 1944, at the age of 23, she was discovered at the Copacabana in New York City and signed a musical contract with MGM. She is known for her appearances in Till the Clouds Roll By (1946), Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo (1944), and The Harvey Girls (1946).
