An American singer and actress, born in Los Angeles, California, USA, on July 26, 1941, as Darlene Wright. She married three times and has three children. Among her most important works is the Lethal Weapon film series. Darlene Love received the Rhythm and Blues Foundation's Pioneer Award in 1995 and won the Grammy Award for Best Music Film in 2015 for a documentary that won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature Film as well. She began her career as the lead singer of The Blossoms and also sang with The Crystals. Darlene was born the daughter of a priest, and she sang in the church choir. She also sang jazz, pop, and rock. As an actress, she participated in many Broadway musicals and also appeared in cinema and television.
