An Egyptian actress, born in Montpellier to a French mother and an Egyptian father, who worked as a diplomat. She studied in Paris at the Conservatoire De Paris D'art Dramatique. She started her career in 1954, and joined the National Troupe, and then moved to Ismail Yassine's...Read more troupe until 1959. She also worked as a presenter and program producer on the Egyptian radio (the European-French program) from 1958 to 1991, besides translating plays into French and directing them for the radio. She was among the founding members of the television theater in 1960. Her notable work includes the films Miramar (1969), and An Egyptian Story (1982), as well as the play My Fair Lady (1969).
