He graduated from the Dramaturge department of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and became a lecturer there since 1999. He is known for The Red Colored Gray Truck (2004), which won him many international awards, including Ministry of Culture Award for Best German Film and The Man Who Defended Gavrilo Princip (2014).
