Scenes for Fourth “Mission Impossible” to be Shot in Dubai

The Dubai Media Bureau announced yesterday, Tuesday, that scenes for the fourth “Mission Impossible” will be shot on location at the Emirate of Dubai. The film stars Oscar winning actor Tom Cruise.The Bureau further revealed in a statement that an agreement had been reached with Paramount Studios – one of the world’s leading cinema production and distribution companies – with regards to all the necessary preparations. Negotiations with the firm had continued for close to two month during which officials from Paramount and other involved companies underwent visits to proposed film sites in order to evaluate their suitability.The statement further added that it is expected that shooting will begin within a few weeks. The project brings together the talents of 400 cinema professionals and the Dubai Media Institute, along with Dubai Studio City will assume the task of providing technical and logistical support for the production. The picture will be directed by Brad Bird who has also directed the previous three installments of the “Mission Impossible” franchise.
