Dr. Sayyid Khitab has completed perusing all of the films which will be screened in the upcoming midyear break and has agreed to permit their screening in cinemas. Thus Khitab has stated that he has given the go-ahead for all of the films sometime during the last week of the previous year. Khitab has also added that no scenes were removed seeing as the filmmaker abided by the screenplays that the regulatory authority had previously approved.Among the films which recently received regulatory approval was the title “Al Wattar” (“The Chord”) which stars Moustafa Sha’ban and Ghada A’del. The film began screening in cinemas last Wednesday following delays which pushed forward its premier date for an entire season. The production “Al Shorouq” (“Sunrise”), which received the Golden Pyramid award at the 7th Cairo International Film Festival was likewise given the go-ahead for screening. That title features the performances of Sawsan Badr and Rouby and will premier in cinemas tomorrow, Wednesday. Moreover, regulatory authorities have given their go-ahead to a number of other film titles which will premier soon. These films include “365 Youm Sa’adah” (“365 Days of Happiness”), which stars Ahmed E’zz and Donia Samir Ghanem, “Fassil wa Na’oud” (“We Will Return after the Break”) which starts Kareem A’bd Al A’ziz and, finally, “Al Feel fi Al Mendeel” (“An Elephant in a Napkin”) which features Tal’aat Zakariyeh. On another note Dr. Sayyid Khittab has announced that he will peruse another set of films and screenplays which have yet to have their status determined.
