Director Sandra Nashaat has completed filming several outdoor scenes in the first week of filming "Al Maslaha". These first scenes involve Ahmed El Sekka alone and were shot at the Public and Central Security Departments, the Maadi corniche and several other streets in Cairo. The film adapts a story that delves into the behind the scenes aspects of combatting drugs. In particular the film depicts a police officers portrayed by El Sekka who is involved in a conflict with a drug trafficker portrayed by Ahmed E'zz. The film was recently in crisis following the Interior Ministry's objection to a few scenes citing that they disclose methods employed in drug-related investigations. That led to a delay in acquiring the permit to begin filming. Thereafter a comprimise was reached whereby filming would commence whilst the shooting of the disputed scenes would be deferred until the final stages of filming."Al Maslaha" features the performances of Ahmed El Sekka, Ahmed E'zz, Hanan Tourk, Kinda A'loush, Zeina, A'mr Youssif, Ahmed Al Sa'dany and Salah A'bd Allah. Production is credited to Wael A'bd Allah who also had the idea for the film. It is expected that filming would last for an extended period that could reach 4 months so that the film would be available for theaters by the coming summer.
