“Malika fee al-Manfa” (“Queen in Exile”) Returns to the Editing Phase and is Translated into English

After completing the editing process for the series the management of the Gulf Rotana network has decided to broadcast a rerun of “Malika fee al-Manfa”. The rerun will feature a new copy that will be translated into English. The series was originally broadcast during the previous month of Ramadan. The work’s producer, Isma’il Katkat, has stated that after hearing the opinions of viewers and critics he has asked director Mohamed Zoheir Ragab to return to Cairo once again so as to reedit the work. Ragab’s reediting process succeeded in treating some of the concerns highlighted by audiences and critics, moreover Ragab added 35 new musical scores that better suit events as they occur in the series. Ragab also added an English translation.Katkat adds that the English translation will allow foreign audiences in Arab countries and abroad to learn more about our history through our television dramas. “Malika fee al-Manfa” utilizes a screenplay that was authored by Rawya Rashid. Nadia el-Guindy, Shereen A’del, Shereef Salama, Mahmoud Qabeel and Fayza Kamel star in the work which was directed by Mohamed Zoheir Ragab and Wael Fahmy A’bd Al-Hamid. The title was produced by Farah Media in collaboration with Kuwaiti Cable and the Rotana network.
