Wafaa A’mer Revives “Tahhya Karyoka” in a Few Days

Actress Wafaa A’mer is to begin filming the first scenes of her new television title “Karyoka” in ten days time. The series is a biographical work about performer “Tahhya Karyoka”. The production team will move out to the countryside in order to shoot scenes about the beginnings of Tahhya’s life which take place in a country-village setting. Thereafter the team will move to a European state in order to shoot a few scenes there.Performer Wafaa A’mer has gainsaid any claims with regards to there being a conflict between her and her sister Aytan A’mer who will portray Tahhya at an earlier age. Wafaa has added that Aytan was not originally nominated for the role but was rather nominated to portray the character of her sister Jumlatt which would have been an important role that could have marked a transition in her career. Wafaa adds that she will portray Tahhya from the age of sixteen until her death.With regards to the appropriateness of her portraying a sixteen-year-old while she has already passed the age of forty, Wafaa has said that she has decreased her weight substantially and that with help from make-up artists and from her director, she has managed to pull-off the image with the approval of those present.“Tahhya Karyoka” features the talents of E’zzat Abou ‘Ouf, Fadya A’bd Al Ghany and Latif Labib. The production utilizes a screenplay authored by Fathy el-Guindy and is directed by A’mr el-Sheikh.
