Director Wael Ehsan has started filming his new cinema title “Sa’ah wa Nisf” (“An Hour and a Half”) yesterday Saturday following nearly a month of delays due to the revolution. Filming was scheduled to begin on the “Friday of Anger”, the 28th of January, a date which was close to the climax of political events witnessed in Egypt over the recent period. Thus filming was put off until matters were settled. It should be noted that the title represents the third collaboration between director Sameh ‘Abd Al ‘Aziz, screenwriter Ahmed ‘Abd Allah and producer Ahmed al-Sobkky following “Cabaret” and “al-Farrah” (“The Wedding”). However Sameh’s contract for the television series “Messyo Ramadan Mabrook Abou al-‘Alamein Hamoudah” led to his withdrawal. Director Mohamed ‘Aly was nominated to fill the vacancy but he withdrew due to commitments to the series “Ahl al-Iskandiriyah” (“Alexandria Folk”) so that the choice eventually settled on Wael Ehsan.
