Ezzat Abu Auf happy with his daughter’s movie competing with “Al Haram Street”

In an interview with “Al Tahrir” news paper actor Ezzat Abu Auf stated that he was pleased with the outcome of the movie “Beebo and Besheer”, the very first movie directed by his daughter Mariam Abu Auf, especially that the movie came in third place in regards to revenues after “Al Haram Street” and Tek Tek Boom”.Abu Auf believes that it is an achievement for a movie to make it steady fast in front of 2 big productions like Ahmed Saad’s and Saad El Sagheer’s movies, in a season such as Eid Al Adha. Mariam presented a different kind of comedy. She posses an artistic vision different to anyone else exclaimed Abu Auf. Abu Auf allowed Mariam to interfere in his costume design during the movie, which is something he normally never allows, but because of his great confidence in her as a director she was allowed to enter this zone. “Beebo and Besheer” stars Asser Yassin and Menna Shalaby. It made revenues over 6 million Egyptian pounds after only 3 weeks of playing in theaters.
