Actor Asser Yassin expressed his joy in being part of the movie “Beebo and Besheer”. He said that director Mariam Abu Auf’s first experience with directing turned out more than good. Asser denied that the movie could be a combination of several other Arabic movies, claiming that there might be a common theme between the movie and other movies but the comical approach is entirely different. In an interview on “Ilaf” website Asser stated that one of the things that attracted him most in the movie was the script written by Hisham Maged and Karim Fahmy, and how well they comically developed the script, which tempted him to approach such a role in an attempt to get out of the dramatic image that most audience have of him.As for the scene that resembled one of the scenes taken from the movie “The house belongs to the wife”, Asser said that this was a salute from the movie makers to one of the classics of Egyptian cinema. Beebo and Besheer is written by Hisham Maged and Karim Fahmy, and directed by Mariam Abu Auf. It is staring Asser Yassin, Menna Shalaby, Safeya El Emari and Ezzat Abu Auf and guest star director Mohamed Khan.
