The movie “The Interest” had just started shooting after stopping for 8 whole months as a result of the revolution, when lead star Ahmed El Sakka injured his foot in such a way that it required surgery. Doctors have specifically requested him to rest at home for 10 whole days.In a statement El Sakka released to Al Masry Al Yoom newspaper, he explained that the accident happened when he was working out at the gym. A heavy metal object fell on his foot which required immediate medical attention. Although El Sakka feels fine, doctors insist that he must rest. He is hoping that he will return in a week’s time to film the rest of the movie that yet again has been put on hold for the second time. The crew has decided to start shooting the scenes that don’t require lots of movements and that are generally indoors, while the outdoor scenes remain until a later stage when he is absolutely recovered. There will also be a trip to Lebanon to continue filming there.“The Interest” is written by Wael Abdulla and directed by Sandra Nashaat. It is starring Ahmed El Sakka, Ahmed Ezz, Hanan Tork, Zeina, Salah Abdulla, Ahmed El Sadaany and Nehal Anbar.
