Opra and Ametab Batchan are on top of the guest list for Luxor festival for African cinema in Cairo

In an attempt to strengthen African Egyptian relationships and further support them, Dr. Ezzat Saad governor of Luxor specified the importance of the Luxor Festival for African Cinema.The governor also stated that many invites were sent to various celebrities such as Nelson Mandela leader of South Africa, Opra Winfrie infamous TV host, President of Liberia Lin Johnson Nobel peace prize winner along with Yemeni Tawakol Karman and the legendary Indian actor Ametab Batchan.This gesture is also considered an attempt to revive tourism and highlight the ancient and historical importance of Egypt that contains a sixth of the world’s ancient treasures.The festival will take place in February. The governor hopes that the festival will be a yearly event which in turn will positively affect tourism and help progress and revive African cinema.
