A Golden Bear for Meryl Streeps' lifetime achievement.

Yesterday 14 February at the Gala event of the Berlin Film Festival, American star Meryl Streep was awarded the Berlinale's Honorary Golden Bear for forty years of achievements. The award was presented by jury member, Jake Gyllenhaal, who described Meryl as an extraordinary actress and a wonderful person and that Berlin is delighted by honoring her tonight.In her acceptance, Meryl thanked everyone that she has worked with during her career, and especially the cast of "The Iron Lady". She assured how grateful she is for being here, and she said it is because of the great writers and directors she has worked with all those long years especially Alan Pakula, Harold Pinter and great director Robert Altman.Streep has so far won a Golden Globe and the a BAFTA and is expected to receive her 3rd Oscar for her role in "The Iron Lady".
