UN Goodwill Embassador and American actress Angelina Jolie spoke painfully about the tragic situation in Syria. "The only thing needed to be done is to stop the mass of violence and murder against women and children in Syria. There is no time to ask who, how or when" was her reply when asked about the situation in Syria during her directorial debut for her film "In the Land of Blood and Honey". In this film, Jolie talks about the war in Bosnia and tragedies left behind which is somehow similar to the situation now in Syria. Jolie also condemned countries that have vetoed the UN resolution against Syria and said that the world must intervene now to stop the massacres against the civilians. She feels that countries should not use a veto when a huge number of victims are falling everyday and they should be questioned for using it.She also added in greaf that just a while ago she was walking in the streets of Damascus and how beautiful the city was. Jolie believes that the situation is horrifying, tragic and worrying and the time for intervention is a must. "The international community must not ignore what is happening any longer and the slaughtering of civilians must stop immediately".
