With Pictures: Done with shooting "My Last Friend", makers confirm their patriotic intent of its production

In a few days, director Jude Saeed will be done with the montage of his latest film "My Last Friend", to be sent to France for mixing and Italy after that for printing.Jude has finished shooting his last scenes in Sydnaya; an area near the Syrian capital Damascus; in the Cultural Resort, after turning it into a grand hall. The scenes starred both Abd El-Lateef Abd El-Hameed and Marwan Farahat.The film features Laura Abu-Assad, Abd El-Moneim Amiry, Abd El-Lateef Abd El-Hameed, Maxceem Khalel, Sawsan Arsheed, Heba Nour, Fadi Sabih, Jamal El-Ali and Gerges Sabara, and is produced by the National Institute of Syrian Cinema and Fardoos Drama.Director Jude Saeed along with writer Fares El-Zahaby; co-writer of the film - confirmed that their persistence to finish the film was not an adventure like some claimed, but that their real motivation is their national duty which pushed them to work in those hard times, considering that art is the cast's only way to portray what's happening, and describing their film as a documentary of what happened before the current events.The film is expected to participate in several international festivals, and will be featured commercially in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt, and maybe also in the Gulf.The lead actress Laura Abu-Assad partnered with Yehia El-Fakharany before in "Ibn El-Arandaly", and also lent her voice for the dubbing of "Nour" the Turkish drama as the main character. Maxceem Khalel also starred in the dubbed "Nour", also in the historic drama "El-Tarek", and is currently partnered with Cyrine Abdelnour in "Ruby". And lastly, Heba Nour starred with Mohamed Henedy in his movie "Andaleeb El-Dokki".
