It seems that America's super heroes are done saving the world and are out to continue their mission in breaking box office records. Directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlette Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Evans; "The Avengers" is only $80 million away from the one billion dollar barrier marking it the fastest film in the history of cinema to reach this gross world wide in a period less than 20 days. In its second week, "The Avengers" made $100 million in the states to reach a total of $373 million in 12 days only and still stands proud and tall on top of the box office. Saying that, Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" had no place to run or hide with making only $28 million and resting in second place after "The Avengers". This result was far away from Burton's worst nightmare for a film that cost over than $120 million!
