Great director Michael Haneke wins for the second time Cannes' top prize the Palme d'Or for his incredible and touching film about love and death "Amour".The winning film is about an old married couple in their 80's and lived a quite life until the wife has a brain stroke and her husband spends all the time caring for her as she dies. Critics believed that this film depended on the actors as its location was in the couple's apartment all the time, and the story was told through their features. Haneke said if it wasn't for the passion of the lead actors Jean-Louis Trintignant and Emmanuelle Riva and Isabelle Huppert who played their daughter; who wouldn't have received this prestigious award. The story of the film was connected to Haneke's personal life when he thanked his wife for standing by him for many years and promising her they will never leave each other just like in the film. Haneke's first Palme d'Or was in 2009 for "The White Ribbon".
