George Clooney to co-produce a film for Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.

Weinstein Co. announced today Tuesday that George Clooney has agreed to co-produce their new film "August Osage County" with producer and script writer Grant Heslov.The screen adaptation of the award winning Tracy Letts' play brought to theater four years ago: "August Osage County" is about a group of women of a family who are parted in many directions until a crisis brings them all back to their childhood house with their mother. The stars Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, and will be directed by John Wells whom Clooney is excited to work with. Harvey Wenstein expressed his happiness to work with Clooney and Heslov and considered them talented with great taste and true work ethics. In return, Clooney said he and Heslov are proud to work in this project and with such great cast. Casting is in progress, and shooting will take place in the fall where the film should be released in October 2013.
