Peter Jackson finished shooting "The Hobbits"

After 266 days of shooting; director Peter Jackson finished the two parts to the prequel of his trilogy of 2001, 2002 and 2003 "The Lord of the Rings". The prequel is in two parts; "The Hobbits: An Unexpected Journey" which will have its premiere in Wellington, New Zealand on 25 November whereas the world wide premiere will be on 14 December and "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" which will be released at the same time in 2013. Jackson has announced on his Facebook the good news and thanked the cast and crew for their great effort and also thanked his fans. He said that he is currently editing both parts.The two parts are about Bilbo Baggins, played by Martin Freeman, who enjoyed a normal life until the wizard Gandalf shows up with a group of dwarfs and start a war against a dragon. He is eventually led to the ring where "The Lord of the Rings" journey began. The films are adapted from the novel by JR Token, screenplay is by Fran Walsh and both parts star a large number of Hollywood stars like Martin Freeman, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Evangeline Lilly, Ian McKellen and Luke Evans.
